2022 Willow Creek district Mourvedre
Tasting
Notes

The 2022 vintage opens with raspberry fruits that show trailing notes of violet, truffle and sweet amburana woodspice. The palate is soft and rounded with flavors of cranberry, cherry, plum spice and eucalyptus, while feral gamy accents are faithful to the Mourvèdre grape’s native charm. Supple textures gain a hint of tannic grip on a chewy yet nimble finish.

Accolades
Clean aromas of blackberry, blueberry and purple flower converge on the nose of this wine, which includes 10% Syrah. The palate is fresh and lively with strawberry, dark cherry and zippy white-pepper flavors.

Sweet spice mixes with hints of cocoa and kirsch as the 2022 Mourvèdre blossoms in the glass. It sweeps across the palate with silken textures, guided by brisk acidity as citric-laced red and black fruits swirl throughout. Irony mineral tones linger along with a tinge of brown spice as the 2022 finishes gently tannic and long, leaving a tart raspberry concentration on the close.
