2024 / Willow Creek District Grenache 01

An ethereal and graceful, cool-toned expression of Grenache. The nose reveals crushed violet leaf and lavender buds, grounded by an underlying note of fresh, damp loam. Bright, tart flavors of pomegranate and wild loganberry take center stage, leading into a sophisticated, slightly savory finish reminiscent of orange peel and fine Italian amaro. Silky, structural, and beautifully balanced.

Reviews, Kind Words &

Accolades

All Grenache off the 01 clone and fermented with 25% whole cluster, the 2024 Grenache 01 comes from the estate's Willow Creek vineyard and was aged 16 months in neutral French oak. It offers lively red fruits, dried herbs, and floral, spicy nuances on the nose. It's medium-bodied on the palate, nicely balanced and elegant, with an attractive savory complexity that blossoms with time in the glass. There are just 51 cases, and it should keep for 5-7 years. Drink 2026-2033.

Very spicy on the nose along with dried flowers, hibiscus tea, orange peel and bing cherries. Medium- to full-bodied with flavors of red licorice, cinnamon and tangerine. Drink now.
